On December 2, 2008 the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has appointed Dr. Samuel Vaughn a Member of the Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA). The mission of CVTEA is to evaluate and assess two-year and four-year programs, and to grant or deny those programs accreditation with the AVMA. It should be noted that Dr. Samuel Vaughn was one of only two veterinarians, nationwide, to be appointed this honor. The AVMA has 85,997 member veterinarians in the United States.
